The Illuminating Engineering Society of Maine is excited to present: Jim Stockman Continuing Education Series “Historical IES Series” Please join us for the first of a series of fascinating lectures by Jim Stockman, with the IES Maine community of members and friends!

About this Event:

In this ongoing education series, Jim Stockman will provide us a look back into IES history to help connect the past to the present. Our first glimpse will be into the history of office lighting.  He will review past and present IES standards to help us understand how they have changed over the years, and how new technology has changed the way we do office lighting.  His presentation will review metrics, spacing to mounting ratios, watts per square foot, energy requirements, “The Lighting Machine” and more. *

About the Speaker:

Jim Stockman, Luminologist is a lighting designer and theater consultant from Maine, celebrating over 35 years’ experience. He is in his 51st year as a member of the IESNA (emeritus) and a member of the American Society of Theatre Consultants (ASTC), NFPA and the International Dark Sky Association. Jim Stockman Biography

All raffle tickets will go into the same “hat” for the drawings. Tickets will be assigned, and drawn, at random by one of our IES officers.
